MARKO ZOREC

I am a guitarist, composer, and music producer from Slovenia. I completed my classical guitar studies at the Academy of Music, University of Ljubljana, yet my passion for music goes far beyond genre boundaries. My greatest love is playing both acoustic and electric guitar, and I enjoy composing and producing music across a wide range of styles.

Since 2000, I have been the guitarist for the renowned singer and established artist Zoran Predin. From 2000 to 2007, I was the driving force and main songwriter of the band YOGURT, with whom I released three albums. At the end of 2023, I joined the group KiNG FOO, now known as HERE AND EVERYWHERE, with whom I have performed numerous unforgettable live shows, including opening for Bryan Adams in the summer of 2025 in front of a crowd of several thousand people.

Beyond my work with bands, I am deeply committed to creating original instrumental music. In June 2023, I released my debut solo album Parallel World, featuring the unique sound of the harp guitar. The album received widespread acclaim from critics and fans alike. Among those who praised my work were Jon Gomm, one of today’s most respected acoustic guitarists, and Hernan Romero, known for his collaborations with Al Di Meola.

My highly anticipated new album Imaginary Garden will be released on 10 November under the name MARKO ZOREC GROUP. I recorded it together with several exceptional and internationally recognized musicians, including Goran Bojčevski on duduk. The mastering of the album was done by Christoph Stickel, one of Europe’s finest mastering engineers, known for his work with artists such as the Pat Metheny Group.

I have many plans for the future and look forward to every new concert—because for me, every performance is a celebration.
